Our aim at Crafty Computers is a simple one of wishing to offer a range of unusual and very unique quality Upcycled and Repurposed products such as our unique range of decoupaged keyboards, mice and RAM Stick Keyfobs as well as offering our stunning range of Decoupage Napkins and computer parts that can be used for crafting
Crafty Computers offer an unusual but very unique range of crafting accessories to help you take your projects to the next level. Our range of computer parts such as keyboard keys, circuit sheets, and membranes can be used in a wide variety of projects and we also offer a stunning range of Decoupage Napkins. Not all of these appear in our shop at present but you will see them added over the next few weeks.
The journey to this point for us has been a long one over the past 15 years or so. We have been fundamental in setting up 2 computer recycling charities and a Community Interest Company helping people who were long term unemployed back into work by giving them experience and helping them gain qualifications that enabled them to gain employment. When this project finished a couple of years back we were left with a large amount of old IT equipment and not wishing to scrap it we began to look at ways we could reuse or upcycle it in a creative way. After looking at several different options I felt that decoupaging some of the items would repurpose them giving them new life and it was also an environmentally friendly route to take.
Over the next year or so we began making prototypes and developing the idea but never had the time to take it further. Then when I was furloughed from work in the first lockdown I began to teach myself how to decoupage and after many, many failures and trials, I developed the skill to be able to produce the quality I was seeking. Then being laid off from work just before lockdown 2 we began putting our Etsy shop together and began looking to earn a living from what has now turned into a passion. To reuse and repurpose old equipment by adding our artistic flair that brings new life to these old but still very useable items rather than seeing them ending up in a landfill.
Every product we produce is unique and whilst we may use the same napkin design on many different products no two will ever be the same. With every item we produce we look to put our love and passion for what we do into it so that when you open the box it will jump out at you. Hopefully giving you a bit of a wow factor having purchased something unique and very different and that we offer you a service that goes way above and beyond.
