Doing what I love!
Hi Everyone, my name is Amy and I would like to introduce myself and my shop to you.
I have been with Etsy since 2011. I started with a just a few hats and have grown my shop to feature more than 300 hats and baby clothes.
I started crocheting at age 10 and stopped when school and work took up most my time. When my husband passed away in 2003, I decided to look for ways to fill my time and get over my grief. I took up crocheting and started making clothes for Barbie dolls and American Dolls.
Others told me I should try to sell my finished pieces. I had heard of Etsy, so I posted a few of my doll clothes there and opened up a small shop. I added a few hats and branched out into making baby clothing. I found out I had a knack for this and started adding more and more listings and my shop began to grow as I gained more and more sales.
I am retired now, but when I was working I was a Civil Engineer and then Project Manager for our State Traffic Department.
Most of my items are made from my own patterns. I think of something cute and then start creating.
