The inspiration that fuels my creations.....
Perhaps it's the echoes of a past life that inspire my style of creation. The filigree and the moon harken back to times of nobles and court life where the use of herbs and tinctures were commonplace and the practice of magick was known, but hidden. Divination tools disguised as beautiful baubles that serve dual purposes to hide one's craft in plain sight. Self care regimens that tie back to the earth and oils that are spelled for attraction, protection, money and psychic ability. The books have the look of old ledgers with beautiful brocade bookmarks to match. Finally, the jewelry....whether a necklace or earrings, they carry the same feel....magick and mysticism.
I've ALWAYS been crafty! Aaaaaand...I've always been drawn to the craft. From a very young age, the magick and mystery that exists in nature and the universe has always called to me. As I've aged, I have finally come to embrace my truth as a witch and healer and stepped fully out of the broom closet!
My shop has been through several evolutions since opening up here on Etsy in 2008, when I needed a creative outlet, but that outlet began creating a surplus of items I couldn't give away fast enough or ever use on my own. My shop has sold bookmarks in the beginning...then stationery...then beaded jewelry...then I took a break to become a yoga teacher. I taught for 10 years. Being a yoga teacher gave me new perspective and new inspirations to draw from and still does to some degree, but I felt it was time to fully capture all of it under one name.
Thus, Creative Goddess Goods came to be.
