I traveled to Norway several years ago specifically to take a course in making Skinnfell and then began crafting here in the USA. Many of the sheepskin pieces are items that have been crafted using a traditional Norwegian craft known as Skinnfell. These items are sewn completely by hand using at least two matching sheepskins, using strong linen thread and finished with Non-toxic water based ink then Block printed with traditional Norwegian symbols.

There are only a handful of us here in America utilizing this traditional craft which I feel makes us were are a very special group who take a great deal of pride in our handcrafted work. In addition to making Skinnfell, I make wearable accessories with high quality sheepskins and I have also started making Renaissance inspired garments and small leather goods using sheepskins.
