Working with color and light to make you smile.
To those of you who have complimented my work and given me positive feedback -
THANK YOU! You have fed and nurtured my "Creative Spirit".
To those of you who have purchased my work or commissioned special pieces-
THANK YOU! You have enabled me to do what I love and actually make a living at it.
Everything in my shop is made by me in my studio in Greenwich, CT. If you purchase something from me you can be sure that it is handcrafted and made in the USA.
I have led many lives and had many careers. I have been a preacher, an executive assistant, a massage therapist and a bookstore owner. Through everything I have had an artistic spark, even exhibiting and selling some of my watercolors and pen & inks. But when I learned to do stained glass in 1990 I found my creative and occupational heart and soul.
At the time I owned and managed a bookstore and immediately began to sell my glasswork there. As my skills expanded and my following grew, I found that working with glass was all that I wanted to do. Glass is so beautiful and versatile. It can be fine art, but it can also be functional. It can be expansive and expensive, but it can also be small and affordable. It can be very traditional, but it also can be unconventional and abstract. And it can be any color or mix of colors that you can imagine. I love the challenge of coming up with new ideas and being original. Many things in my shop are one of a kind (OOAK), especially the abstracts, the panels and the larger boxes.
I sold my store in 1996, began to participate in regional juried fine craft shows from Maine to North Carolina, and the rest is history.
Doing stained glass has given me deep joy. I want to keep doing the best most beautiful work of which I am capable and share the work AND the joy with you.
