Welcome to Creature Creations Studios , what every shrub wants to grow up to be! Topiary is an art. But unlike most art, we begin the process by creating a detailed frame and then pass it over to you to finish. What you do with it and how you finish it, truly makes you a critical part of the creative process. Besides being planted, our frames have been used as centerpieces for weddings, baby showers, anniversary parties, funerals... All of our frames are hand created using only American made chicken wire from Red Brand. The quality of the wire is of extreme importance in creating a frame that will last for years. We hand tie every part of our topiaries so that there are no sharp edges. We paint our frames green so that they will blend better with the finished topiary. We normally work out on our patio among the flowers and garden antiques that we love to collect, and that is where our creatures are born. Your finished Topiary will only be as good as the frame you start with...

We began our garage business 27 years ago, when I was unemployed and desperately searching for a "job". I was collecting subscriptions for a local newspaper and saw an old man making a pig out of chicken wire for his wife. My wife and I had seen topiaries at garden centers and nurseries before that, and I would always tell her they were crude, and that I could do better! Well being the wonderful wife that she is, she said "yeah so do it, don't talk about it!" Seeing what the old man was trying to make inspired me to give it a shot. So I took $20 out of the household kitty and bought a roll of Red Brand 1" poultry netting and got to work. Using my kids toys for inspiration and proportions, I soon created Teddy and a passion was born. Chicken wire may seem like an unusual medium for art, but what I can do with pliers, cutters, and chicken wire has made a lot of people very happy. Great inspiration comes from the creativity of my customers and the scenes they wish to create. So take me at my word, challenge me and I will help you make art!
