Meet the creator helping thousands of women express every version of themselves through colorful beaded bracelets.
-What inspired you to create Crisalis Studio?
Allison:
I've always loved color and the way something as simple as a bracelet can change how you feel. When I started, I wasn't trying to build a jewelry brand, I just wanted to make simple, wearable pieces that women could reach for every day.
As customers started coming back, I noticed something interesting. They rarely stopped at one bracelet. They were building collections.
That changed how I thought about my business.
Instead of designing individual bracelets, I started designing collections where every piece worked beautifully together.
-Your shop feels very intentional. Everything coordinates. Was that always the vision?
Allison:
Not at first. That evolved from watching my customers.
Today every bracelet is designed to mix effortlessly with dozens of others. Whether someone owns five bracelets or fifty, they all work together.
I like to think of it as building a bracelet wardrobe instead of simply buying jewelry.
-You often describe your collections almost like personalities rather than colors. Why?
Allison:
Because color is emotional.
Each collection represents a different mood or version of yourself.
Some days you're Sunlit Sands—grounded and effortless.
Some days you're Crimson Chaos—bold, playful, impossible to ignore.
I wanted every collection to tell a story beyond just its color.
-You have customers who come back again and again. Why do you think that happens?
Allison:
I think they enjoy collecting, perhaps as much as I do.
There's something satisfying about slowly building combinations that are just for you.
Every new bracelet opens up dozens of new combinations, making getting dressed feel creative instead of routine.
I love seeing customers build collections over months or years.
-How has the business changed you?
Allison:
It's taught me persistence.
There wasn't one moment where everything suddenly took off.
It was thousands of small decisions.
Improving photography.
Listening to customers.
Learning better branding.
Designing better collections.
Making one listing a little stronger than the last.
Success came from consistency more than anything else.
-What makes Crisalis Studio different from other jewelry shops?
Allison:
I'm not simply selling bracelets anymore.
I'm helping women build bracelet collections that evolve with them. We aren't just one version of ourselves—we're playful one day, grounded the next, bold when the moment calls for it. I wanted to create jewelry that gives women a simple, beautiful way to express those different sides of themselves. Sometimes the smallest details say the most, and I think there's something powerful about wearing colors that reflect how you feel before you've said a single word.
What's your favorite part of running your business?
Allison:
Watching someone become a collector.
There's something really special about seeing a customer place their first order and then come back to add another color, another stack, another combination.
Knowing that something I made has become part of someone's everyday routine never gets old.
-Finally, what do you hope someone feels when they receive their first Crisalis Studio order?
Allison:
I hope they immediately start reaching for it every morning.
Not because it's expensive.
Not because it's trendy.
Because it feels like them.
And if they come back, I hope it's because they've discovered the joy of building a collection that grows alongside them.
