Is it 'Crochet' or 'Croochet'?
Coming up with a shop name probably took more time for me than it took to learn crochet.
Like a lot of sellers, I had wanted a cute-sy name that reflected my work. However, all the names that I came up with was irrelevant to what I do. Finally, the name "Croochet" was suggested. At first, I brushed it off...thinking it was too unoriginal and just wayyyy too obvious. But as time goes by (and I was selling items without a name nor a shop) I gave "Croochet" more and more consideration.
What really struck me while I going through this naming struggle was that a lot of people actually pronounced "crochet" as "croo-chet"! It was especially cute when I hear children saying it. :3
My vision for Croochet is simple: to bring happiness to others while being able to give back to my community. Other than fulfilling your orders, I also regularly donate batches of my chubby blushing whale keychains to the Vancouver Aquarium in order to generate funding for the Vancouver Marine Mammal Rescue. 100% of each whale keychain sold goes towards the rescue. I truly believe this is the right thing to do and, therefore, is a high priority for me.
All my plushes and designs are ORIGINAL and EXCLUSIVE to Croochet. Every item listed is 100% handmade and all patterns are designed by me. An extensive amount of time is spent on research to ensure each each design is as unique as can be. Of all my plushes, my Chubby Stingray is a brand-new design that has never surfaced the crochet community...which is pretty exciting!
