This beautiful piece was personally delivered by the two talented gorgeous girls Kass and Lauren. It was so carefully wrapped and I can’t wait to display this stunning piece in my home. I was so grateful to have the opportunity to meet the girls to discuss and design my next piece. Highly recommend their work and brilliant service.

I had asked Lauren and Kassandra to come up with an ocean-inspired weave, giving them complete creative freedom and oh, did they deliver! It was beyond anything I could’ve ever imagined! Looking at the piece did exactly that — reminded me of the ocean, the waves crashing against the shore, the feel of calmness and tranquility. It will be a wonderful gift (if I can force myself to let go of it!).

As stated in my previous review, I love Lauren and Kassandra’s work. Native Heart was the first piece that drew me into their work. The intricacies, placement of seashells, three-dimension texture, uniqueness and the significant story behind it sold me right from the start. It was more gorgeous (jaw-dropping gorgeous) in person. I highly recommend Crossing Threads— as I am extremely happy and in love with these pieces!

WOW. These weaves have left me completely speechless. I absolutely adore and love all of Lauren and Kassandra’s work — and to have their work in my home is such an honor! Each weave is so thoughtfully created, impeccably executed and entirely unique. The attention to detail, love and soul just pours out of these pieces. Each fiber is placed precisely in that it creates a story within the piece itself, an amazingly, gorgeous work of art. They will be cherished for a lifetime, for sure! Lauren and Kassandra were wonderful to work with — extremely kind, down to earth and professional. They kept me up to date with progress/shipping/scheduling and so forth. Shipping took less than a week from Australia to the United States! It was a pleasure working with them and I hope to continue to do so in the future.

So so happy with my wall hanging, it looks even better in real life! So much love and time clearly goes into the making of these pieces and they make a stunning feature in any room. Crossing Threads

Crossing Threads is the collaborative work of Lauren and Kassandra Hernandez, Australian-born sisters of Filipino heritage based in Sydney.

The sister-duo creates handwoven fibre art that is distinctively highly textural, organic and intricate. Both leading full-time careers in advertising and financial services, Crossing Threads was originally born ‘a passion project’ in April 2015 but evolved into a hungry and successful brand that celebrates the revival of the hand-made through a 'Gen-Y' lens.

Each piece is an extension of their dual personalities and contrasting abilities. Heavily inspired by the beauty found in Mother Nature and Australian landscape, the sisters aim to cross the boundaries of woven wall art by experimentation and use of sustainable fibres. Their carefully curated fibre selections involve Australian Merino wool, plant-based fibres, up-cycled fabrics, roping and other foraged items that aren’t traditionally used in fibre art. Their practice have led them to develop their recognisable ‘interknot’ technique, made up of intertwining hand knotted chains of varying texture and thicknesses.

Crossing Threads aims to inspire, evoke emotion and conjure up memories; celebrating the innate connection that we are all threads that make up the tapestry of life.

Care instructions

Australian made and hand woven by Crossing Threads. The buyer understands the terms that come with handcrafted products. Please handle with care. Our bespoke weaves are unique and designed to be a wall hanging only. Avoid moisture and rough objects/surfaces that may snag the fibres.

Refund and Delivery Policy

We do not accept any refunds. Damage to the weaves due to misuse or lack of following care instructions will not be covered. Each weave is handmade and any irregularities or imperfections are traits of its unique aesthetic. If you do experience any problems with the item we appreciate that you contact us first immediately so we can best resolve the issue as soon as possible. We pack each weave with the utmost care and protection, however, we do not take responsibility for any potential damage to and or loss of the weaves whilst in transit. The buyer agrees to these Terms and Conditions at the point of purchase.
