I really like this piece. I ordered for my husband for our wedding anniversary. The only thing I didn't like though was that everything smelled of cigarette smoke. Since I am not a smoker, it is a very strong smell. Luckily my anniversary isn't for a few weeks so it has time to "air out." Other than that, really cook piece!

The winds of creativity since 2002 and it begins with twisting wire.
In 2004 we decided to make, what started out as a hobby in 2002, a business venture and we founded our business: Crows Feathers, LLC. With the purchase of a few items, such as wire, an old rock saw, polishing equipment (both constantly needing repairs!), our creative hearts began making Tree sculptures. We developed the utmost respect for those who cut and polish minerals for a living.
We love Nature and all that it offers. Whether it is a walk in the Desert, by the Sea or among the Trees, it is soothing to the soul. We also have a love for Geology and we occasionally find some interesting Minerals or raw semi-precious Gemstones. From the East Coast to the West, North or South, we have and we enjoy wandering through the USA.
What's with the Name "Crows Feathers"? In Native American folklore, the Crow is often associated with magic and change. Predominantly, bringing thought into physical form, transformation, the passing from one realm into another. The creations start much in the same way: first, a feeling/thought that slowly transforms into a physical form - a different reality/dimension (the artwork). The physical creative process begins with the purchase or found materials (copper wire, minerals, lamp bases, etc.). There are no molds used, no lost wax and nothing is outsourced. Currently, each piece is hand crafted with great care by Crows Feathers member Linda. Brigitte updates the face book, the CrowsFeathers website, and involves herself in other aspects as time allows.
There is a great deal of joy and peace in making these creations and simply delighted when customers tell how very touched they are by the way the artwork makes them feel when they touch it for the very first time. Touched by a "Feather", perhaps?
Thanks for coming. Enjoy your visit!

The adventure continues, represented by a few small galleries, a variety of retailers that purchase the creations for resale, on Ebay and now on Etsy.
