Why is shipping so expensive?
I know that the shipping costs may seem high, but I want to charge what is fair for my items, and not hide shipping fees in their cost. Also, please remember that you will not pay sales tax on shipping, and you will save money in the long run if you have to pay tax. If Etsy gives you a shipping quote that seems really expensive, please send me an email - sometimes Etsy miscalculates or there is a typo or I can switch to a less pricey shipping option. This is especially true when buying more than one item or shipping internationally.
Do you offer gift wrapping?
Absolutely! I'm more than happy to wrap your gift for you for $1.00. I will also enclose a card with your personalized message to the recipient (I'll have my daughter handwrite it because her penmanship is soooo much nicer than mine!). Just be sure to mark the item as a gift and fill out your message when you check out.
How is your packaging sustainable?
I recycle what I can for packaging. Boxes from big box stores, wrapping paper from my CSA box, and local newspapers will all be reused. I do apologize if your item happens to arrive in a Girl Scout cookie box - I already ate those:)
