Hi, and welcome! I’m the owner of Crystal Journey Designs, a small crystal and mineral business based in North Alabama.
What started as a personal interest in crystals and minerals has grown into something I genuinely enjoy sharing with others. I’ve always been fascinated by the incredible variety found in nature, from perfectly formed crystals and vibrant colors to unusual growth habits, rare inclusions, and specimens with interesting geological histories.
My collection and inventory reflect that curiosity. I especially enjoy finding pieces that have something distinctive about them, whether it’s a moving enhydro bubble, an unexpected UV reaction, an unusual mineral association, or a specimen from a locality you don’t come across every day.
More Than Just Selling Minerals
One of the most rewarding parts of running this business has been meeting people at completely different stages of collecting. Some of the specimens I’ve sold have been someone’s very first crystal, while others have found their way into collections that have been growing for decades.
I love both sides of that experience. There’s something special about introducing someone to a hobby that may become a lifelong interest, and it’s equally rewarding to help an experienced collector find something they’ve been searching for.
I also enjoy the conversations that come with it. Whether we’re discussing mineral localities, comparing crystal formations, or simply admiring a beautiful specimen, I appreciate the opportunity to connect with people who share that curiosity.
What You’ll Find in My Shop
My inventory includes a wide variety of natural mineral specimens, polished pieces, display crystals, fluorite, quartz, calcite, enhydros, UV-reactive minerals, and other interesting finds from around the world.
I don’t limit myself to one particular mineral or style. Some pieces are selected for their exceptional aesthetics, while others stand out because of their inclusions, formations, or geological characteristics.
A Personal Approach
I run this business with the same mindset I have as a collector. I want the pieces I offer to be specimens I’d be happy to own myself.
I do my best to provide accurate descriptions, clear photographs, and honest information about each specimen. If you have questions about a piece, want additional photos or videos, or would like help choosing something, I’m always happy to talk.
I’m also happy to work with collectors who have specific interests, whether you’re looking for something unusual, building a particular collection, or shopping for your very first specimen.
