Sizing details

All products are handmade. Sizes and Dimensions may vary and will be slightly smaller than the nominal size advertised.

Woods and Finishes

I use domestic and exotic woods, which are generally considered safe and non-toxic. Some woods can be irritating if ingested, and may splinter or break if abused (or chewed). My favorite finish is Deft Semi-Gloss Lacquer, and I will post if I use anything different. These pieces are not intended for children, or for anyone who is likely to chew or eat small colorful items.

Cost of Material

Wood is expensive these days. My work is more expensive than typical pieces from commercial sources, which might be made of poplar, pine, or other woods, and which might have a more machined and polished appearance. I charge based on the price of the wood and the effort required to work it.
