Curious Pip.
Sarah (aka Curious Pip) creates magically unique dolls, miniatures and illustrations. Her charming pocket sized starlets are inspired by a fantastical world of old Hollywood, showgirls, fairy tales and dusty old children's books.
As a child Sarah was drawn into the magical world of old films. She'd sketch and paint her favourite costumes and outfits, forming a short illustrated storybook of what she'd seen on screen. Her grandma's cupboards and wardrobe would be raided for old hats, net curtains coats and suits (some of which her grandma had made) so she could form her own unique dressing up box inspired by the stylish women in the afternoon matinees.
When she's not sewing and sketching, she still likes to watch a lot of old movies, always has several books on the go, and loves to browse for treasures at flea markets. She collects shells, old dolls, dresses and books and works from her small home studio in Bristol.
