Started drawing at age 12. I have been in the arts ever since.
Ramon Zavalza taught me to paint portraits since he saw my sketches. He was quite an inspiration for me in the 1980's. I painted portraits professionally for years. My best accomplishment was a set of portraits of Elvis Presley that portrayed 5 stages of his life in one painting. It took me 6 months to paint and I played Elvis music all the time painting it.
Went to Germany and traveled to see the masterpieces of art throughout Europe and the United Kingdom. Then after serving in the US Army from 1984 to 1988 I moved to California and started up a sign business to later add printing and plastics.
DDD Quik Signs & Plastics, Salinas, California. Ran the business even after a change to D3 Signs and Plastics. This business had multi faceted artistic designed products. From printing products on paper to laser etched designs and cutouts on plastic products. Enjoyed the Monterey California peninsula for years. Many great people there and in the Salinas Steinbeck Rotary club where I became a member back in 1998.
Moved to Meridian Idaho in 2016 and have been continuing my career with the laser business. Now I dabble in more wood products but always have the passion to work with acrylic substrates.
Created a card game with a friend in 2019. Selling on website, Etsy and Amazon.
