Frequently asked questions
How do I upload my photo?
Once you have processed your payment and finalised your order, send us a message on Etsy and attach your photo with your name, order number & any other requests you may have.
Will I see my portrait before it is printed and sent out?
Yes! We want to make sure you're fully happy with your portrait before we send it off to our printing department. We will send you digital copy and mockup to your email before we proceed with the printing and shipping process.
I chose to receive my illustration as a digital file, how will I receive it?
If you have selected "Digital File", your finished illustration will be emailed directly to you, please make sure you check out with your correct email address as this is the address I will use. You will receive a JPEG or PNG file.
The default size for our digital illustrations is A4, however they are suitable to be printed in A5, A3 and also A2 - giving you plenty of freedom to choose the size best for your space.

I have not received my proofing email yet, what do I do?
No worries, Please check your spam folder - occasionally we end up there. If we're not there, please email us at support@customportraitshop.com and we will be able to sort it all out!
How long will my order take to arrive?
Our current turn around time for digital files is approximately 1-3 days, but this time can increase during peak seasons (Christmas, Mother’s Day, Valentines Day etc).
Framed illustrations can take up to 1-3 days to be illustrated, printed and posted.
Note that turn around time doesn't include shipping time which can vary according to various post office factors.
How long is shipping time?
Shipping time for framed illustrations is 7-15 days depending on your location. Please note this time may increase during holidays and peak shopping seasons.
We deliver digital illustrations as soon as we received it from the artist. This might take 5-10 days from purchase date. Please note this time may increase during holidays and peak shopping seasons.
How should I print my digital illustration?
If you've selected digital file only, you can print the photo at home or at any of your local printing service shops. Examples would include Walmart, Walgreens, OfficeMax, Kmart, Officeworks ect. Let us know if you need any help getting it printed!
How can I cancel my order?
To ensure speedy delivery for you, we begin our work the moment you place your order. In case you need to cancel your order, please send us a message as soon as possible and we will cancel your order if we haven't started on your art. Cancellation requests after your portrait creation has begun won't be accepted.
Do you offer change of mind refunds?
Due to the personalised nature of these products, we do not offer change of mind refunds. You can however, cancel your order if you reach out and we happen to have not begun with your art.
What if the product is damaged upon arrival?
Our custom packaging ensures full safety of your posters and framed posters in transit. In the case of any damage, we ask you to take a picture and email us at support@customportraitshop.com within 48 hours of receiving your order. We will then offer you a replacement or a refund on the frame and shipping only (not illustration).
