A Lifetime of Pasison for Visual Design
At a young age I was fascinated with multiple forms of art and enjoyed painting imaginative landscapes alongside my dad. I had a sketchbook I would sit outside with or take on long family trips--we drove across the country yearly. Unusually observant of my surroundings, almost to a fault, I took in everything around me completely distracted. I liked turning my fascinations into paintings, watercolors or detailed drawings & patterns. This is somewhat confusing to me now as I want to focus on many different forms of art professionally. I have been doing freelance art since my first year of college; this work ranges from commission paintings and sculptures for my professors, family, & friends, various art shows, and a small Etsy store I started in 2013. Since 2013, it has been my goal to do what I love and incorporate things I enjoy into artistic endeavors. One of these endeavors over the past year was painting/ altering Magic The Gathering cards for local friends as well as people I have never met and in doing so I have gotten to know a lot of great people! Additionally, I have been designing illustrations and characters for a comic book by using a digital drawing tablet which is helping me learn more about graphic design. Last and most recently, I am combining my ink sketches and graphic design to create greeting cards.
