DMinxDesigns is making custom bustles again!
DMinxDesigns is the result of my love for all things historical and fashion. I learned to sew at a very young age and love all manner of handcraft; needlepoint, crochet, embroidery; you name it and I've tried it! In college I focused on textiles, learning how to dye and manipulate a variety of fibers.
I've always loved fashion and the Victorian Era is very special to me. In 2005 I discovered Truly Victorian patterns and my passion bloomed in discovering a wonderfully supportive community of like-minded people. In 2009 I received my Masters of Fine Arts in Sculpture from UW-Madison.
The formal training of an intensive graduate art degree and my extensive sewing experience has given my work a unique look with excellent construction. My work is bold, bright, layered, and a little edgy. All of my garments are serged, reinforced where needed, and designed to last a lifetime. Making a quality garment for you is my priority!
All custom orders require a set of measurements; depending on the garment I will send you a measuring packet to ensure a good fit from the start. A test garment is made for all Victorian Bodices with instructions for adjusting. While this takes time, it ensures a well fitted garment that you can enjoy every time you wear it.
