About

Customized Handmade Jewelry & Reclaimed Wood Rounds

Dandelions In December is about remembering.

Dandelions In December began because of a girl going through a very hard time. A time when things weren't going as planned....you know, things that weren't "supposed" to happen. Like dandelions that grow in December, sometimes things happen in our lives that are just out of the ordinary. Dandelions are supposed to grow in the spring and summer. Not in winter!

But life doesn't always go according to plan. I was in one of those times and I made myself a word necklace (my word was "Release") and a Bible verse necklace (my verse was "Be still and know that I am God" Psalm 46:10). These spoke to me - to remind me that God was with me no matter what and that I needed to let go and trust. As I made those necklaces for myself, I looked around me and saw that those that I love were each going through their own struggle. So, I made them their own verse and word necklace.

And one by one, as others saw my necklaces, they identified their own struggle and need to remember and be encouraged and they asked me for their own necklace. And so, Dandelions In December was born.

I’m a girl who loves words and flowers! Some of my pieces are real pressed flowers set in resin. My hope with these pieces is to point to our wonderful Creator and know that if He clothes the flowers with such splendor, He will most certainly will provide for us! I also make custom wedding/sentimental keepsake jewelry with your flowers!

Each piece is made by me with the prayer and hope that the word, quote, verse or beauty of nature will speak to the heart and bring comfort and courage!
