Whimsy in Every Watercolor Dash
Welcome to Dashes of Color!
If you take a stroll through my collection, you might notice something unique—my characters often don’t have faces and the details are intentionally simple. This style goes all the way back to high school and college, when I used to fill the margins of my notes with quick, expressive doodles. It was my way of creating freely, without overthinking.
Years later, after starting a family with the love of my life, I stumbled across those old folders again. To my surprise, my oldest son became absolutely captivated by those doodles. As a child with autism, when something captures his heart, it sticks—and these simple drawings spoke to him in a special way.
Before long, we were painting and drawing together every day, creating whimsical characters and bonding through color and line. A friend saw our creations and encouraged me to share them—and that’s how Dashes of Color was born.
Each piece is a little burst of joy, made with love, and inspired by the purest kind of connection. I’m so grateful for every kind word and all the support this little dream has received. I hope you find something here that speaks to you too.
