What on earth is Polymer Clay?
That was me a few years ago now, what on earth is Polymer Clay? I didn't have a clue but trundled off to a class to see what it was all about, until then all of my creativity was focused on scrapbooking, stamping and card making all of which I still do love but now the clay has won my heart and every moment that I can, I will have a piece of clay in my hand.
My clay creations vary quite a bit from flowers and under water scenes to crazy little critters but my all time favourite would have to be my dragons, these dragons are whimsical objects of beauty – no attack horns or darkness here. They extoll love, compassion, happiness and the goodness of believing that the world is still a wondrous place; speaking of magical realms, far-away lands and of little girls fairy dreams.
However don’t fear if you are not so young, these dragons speak to the child’s awe in all of us.
So what is polymer clay? Its a little block of polymer colour that has no relation to the pottery clay that most people think of when you mention the word clay but like that clay you can squish and shape into whatever takes your fancy and when you are done, you bake it to make it stay that way...
My clay creations will make you smile because how can there not be a place in your heart that does not smile at the sight of a dragon. I love making all of my pieces and I hope that you enjoy them too!
