Sizing details
We offer products of various shapes and sizes. We have a wide range. Plates or roasting pans. Volume from 600 milliliters to 4 liters
What material is used in your products?
Ceramic earthenware, which is made using milk firing technology -
100% natural red clay from quarries in eastern Ukraine is used.
The raw product is fired at a temperature of 850-1050˚C and cooled.
Then this ceramic is soaked in milk and dried. This procedure, called "milking", is necessary so that the porous structure of the ceramic product is permeated with milk and its components, in particular casein, which during subsequent firing gives the pottery greater water resistance.
Then this ceramic is fired again at a temperature of up to 500˚C.
After the second stage of firing, ceramic dishes are polished with beeswax and oil.
Recommendations for the care of ceramic dishes, black-smoked ceramics and ceramics made by milk firing technology
• It is not advisable to wash dishes with VERY hot water.
• It is forbidden to wash such dishes in a dishwasher.
• Do not use chemical detergents and cleaning agents. It is advisable to wash with soda, vinegar or mustard.
• Dishes MUST be dried between uses.
• Periodically it is necessary to warm such ceramics in an oven (stove) at a high temperature.
• It is advisable to wash ceramic dishes immediately after use, as food residues can remain in the porous structure of the dishes and cause an unpleasant smell.
• Once every six months, it is desirable to "bake" the vessel. Put the pot in a cold oven and only then turn on the heating source. Gradually increasing the temperature, heat it for 40-60 minutes at a temperature of 200 degrees Celsius
What to do before first use?
Wash the dishes with a sponge (preferably mustard powder with soda). A black mark will remain on the sponge, don't be afraid, THIS IS NOT PAINT! After the initial firing, the dishes are covered with milk. Further, during secondary scalding, the milk is baked and turns black (milking process). Then the product is polished and covered with beeswax and oil mastic. DO NOT attempt to completely wipe off the top layer of milking.
How to use the oven?
Do not use the pot on an open fire, the pot may not withstand a sharp temperature change! The oven is ideal for cooking. Before using in the oven, pour water into the vessel for 10-15 minutes, then pour out the water, wipe it dry, and you can put products in it. Put the products in a pot, and place the container in a cold oven (red clay is afraid of sudden temperature changes), only then turn on the heat source. As the oven heats up, the water on the walls of the dish will evaporate, and the food will steam, retaining all its juices. This way, the dish cooked in a clay pot will be very juicy.
What to do when there is a strange smell?
After washing, leave the dishes in a well-ventilated place and after a while, the smell will disappear, leaving only a light smell of red clay. Sometimes batches do not have time to defend themselves and go to you immediately from production. And while the pores are open, the clay absorbs production smells for a while.
