Modern Sewists, Vintage Patterns
I first started sewing about 20 years ago, before the era of indie sewing patterns, or at least before their widespread availability. Vintage patterns from eBay excited me in ways that the commercial patterns at the time did not. As much as I love today's indie sewing patterns, I still love vintage styles more. These patterns have beautiful designs, some very "retro," some the same styles being imitated by contemporary designers. The history of these patterns is also part of the fun - finding a crisp, factory folded pattern that was never used is great, but I actually love reusing a pattern that was clearly used, loved, and cared for by someone decades ago and kept by someone (else?) all these years.
I personally review each pattern that I list to assess the condition and determine if the pattern is complete. I do my best to note any and all issues with patterns - please message me if you have any questions about a pattern that are not answered in my listing!
I prefer to use recycled materials for shipping, and will usually do so. All patterns will be shipped protected from weather by plastic bags or envelope linings.
