Breathing new life into pre-loved clothing and apparel
I want to share the story of how I made this business what it is today. As a KC Chiefs fan, I decided to make myself some Chiefs jackets. I bought the jackets then found some patches. After ironing them on, I realized I wanted to learn how to sew them so they would be high quality. In 2025, I reached out to my Aunt Nancy and asked if she would teach me how to sew. We started out with patches and then I started adding material. Next, I added flannels and started cutting up t-shirts. We started in January and by April we had created about 100 items! We learned together. It became a second full-time job for me. We were together nearly 7 days a week. Learning, sewing, creating and building a bond that was even closer than we had before. ❤️ As time went on, she started to become sick. Eventually, she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. We had to stop sewing in April. I packed up everything and put it away. I wasn’t sure if I could do this on my own or if I even wanted to. My aunt encouraged me to keep going. Eventually, I was able to quit my full-time job and I started focusing completely on my business. Sadly, my Aunt passed away In October of that year.
Sewing and creating have become a grief outlet for me. I know that I have an angel watching over me and guiding me. Always remember that you can make more money but you can NEVER get back time. Forgive those you love. Follow your dreams. Cherish your loved ones. RIP Aunt Nancy. Thank you for everything. ❤️😇
