Vintage Sewing Pattern Collector, Wife, and Entrepeneur
Where to begin? Married to a loving husband and partner, with two grown children. My youngest will be turning 22 next year. Started sewing several years ago as a hobby and found that I absolutely loved it. Discovered vintage patterns shortly after that and have been hooked ever since. I live in Central California near the beautiful Pacific Ocean. It's absolutely gorgeous here with a moderate temperature year round and fantastic sunsets!
Shopping for patterns begins at antique shops, thrift shops, and estate sales. I travel California many times a year and stop at all those fun little boutiques along the way. After the journey, the patterns are brought back home and cleaned up. Each pattern is checked by counting the pieces, neatly folding them, packaging them up in an acid free envelope, adding baking soda to wane off any unsavory odors and let them sit for a bit so that they can be fresh when they arrive at your home.
