Alex & Rinoa - Artners in Crime!
Alex and Rinoa met in college, then decided to get married and make art together forever.
Rinoa is a comic writer and illustrator, Alex is a crafter of many things. Together, they are Deosil Designs. The word 'Deosil', in magical terms, means 'clockwise', or 'sunwise'. Deosil is the direction of opening, beginning, and sunrise. We chose this name to reflect our mission to always be moving forward and growing. We established Deosil Designs, LLC in February 2014.
Alex grew up in a costume shop that her mother owns and operates. Together with her mom, she has helped produce hundreds of costumes per year. Today, she has constructed award-winning costumes for movies, individuals, and her own cosplays. She is also a talented draftsman and watercolorist, and studies the occult.
Rinoa wrote, illustrated, and published the popular comic Material Girl. She uses her comics and other art to promote gender equality. She is constantly experimenting with different techniques and styles; her inspirations include Bill Watterson and Japanese RPGs. Currently, she is working on a visual novel called "The Collector". Her work can be found on DeviantArt and Patreon under the name HeartGear.
Alex and Rinoa's largest collaboration to date is the Legend of Tarot - a set of 78 Tarot cards inspired by the Legend of Zelda video game series.
