I have been continuing a family tradition that spans three generations in an old leather workshop located in the historic streets of Istanbul. This tradition has been shaped by my passion for creating unique products made from leather and fur. My grandfather opened a small workshop in Zeytinburnu, Istanbul, in the early 1950s, and he quickly gained a reputation for his expertly crafted leather and fur goods. Today, as Duran Bahadır, I carry on this passion in my own workshop as a leather craftsman.
Before I discovered Etsy, my business was struggling, and I was considering giving up. Fortunately, one of my customers suggested I start selling on Etsy, and that's when I decided to open a shop there. After launching my Etsy store, my business began to improve. This allowed me to expand the variety of handmade leather products I offer and gave me fresh inspiration for new designs. The platform helped my designs reach a wider audience.
I source raw or processed leather, fur, and other materials from local suppliers. With these materials, I create handmade and custom products in my own workshop.
