From desert to country, I find inspiration from nature's designs.
Hi, I'm Kellie. I grew up in the Sonoran Desert where orange, pink, and purple painted skies darken to reveal starry streaks of our own galaxy. Where summers are spent in swimming pools and then around a bonfire as the air cools rapidly when the sun goes down. There, among the towering saguaros, the endless beaches that never meet the ocean, and the home of ancient civilizations long since past, there is a sacred reverence that can be felt in the stillness. This is where I was born, raised, and where I found the person who made me feel like if I ran fast enough I could fly. The one I knew I wanted in my life forever.
We now have 2 children together and reside in Texas hill country. Here our home overlooks the lake and baby deer frolic near their mothers as we watch from our front porch. In the springtime, fields are painted blue, orange and yellow with wildflowers and in the summer, fireflies make a starry night sky of a grassy field.
I believe there is magic in the wild places and nature can bring healing, peace, and restoration. Nature inspires me and I like wearing natural gemstones to feel connected to the Earth. I choose to make necklaces with free floating stones so that either side of the stone can be seen, and to allow the stone to rest on the skin of the wearer. My necklaces have a minimalist design to allow the stones to do all of the "talking". My quality standard is that I make necklaces I would wear myself or want to give to someone I love as a gift.
