Sharing what I love, one step at a time!
Hi, my name is Ozge. I was born and grew up in Istanbul / Turkey, the city that has a very long and beautiful history. Luckily, I lived in the "old city" where my house was still inside those old walls, which protected the city from sieges many many years ago. Our streets were narrow, apartments were small but smiles on our faces was big all the time.
I was graduated from an aqua cultural engineering program but I happened to find a job in a Bank where I had the chance to work in Grand Bazaar in Istanbul, another historic land mark in Turkey. I worked with many business owners in Grand Bazaar and always had envy on their beautiful products and colorful shops. I always wanted to have my own shop!
After came our journey to United States. After moving o US with my husband, I knew that this was my chance! This was the time to show people a glimpse of how it was in the old times, what did they wear and how did they look like.
When I decided to have my shop, I wanted to start this with very old traditional scarves which my grand mother hand crafted for many years. The Productivity, determination and the passion of the Anatolian women has been my inspiration since then. I wanted share not just Turkish culture, but all the cultures who shared the same lands throughout the history, Anatolia.
Since then, I am trying to make people happy and grow this further. It is amazing to see that even from an online shop, how I can make connections with people and touch their lives. This gets even more exciting when ever I join to a festival to meet people and tell them this story in person.
And now, I just opened a new page with my family in Berlin, Germany. I will be pursuing my dreams and keep sharing what I love with people of Berlin, and may be even more soon.
