I first started creating baby announcements and birthday invitations when my children were born. Ever since then I've had the "bug" to create more. So Design Bug was opened to give me the opportunity to design for others. I strive to make people happy and will work hard to make sure my customers are 100% satisfied!

Welcome to DesignBugStudio! I first started creating baby announcements and birthday invitations for my own children and quickly discovered that I caught the design bug. Take a look around and if there's something you don't see, convo me and I'd be happy to create something special for you!

PayPal and Direct Checkout accepted.
PayPal accepts all major credit cards and you do not have to have a PayPal account to send money. If you choose the e-check option on PayPal, please know that you will not receive a proof from me until your e-check clears (usually 2-3 business days).

If you are requesting a custom design, please contact me for pricing. Currently, a custom design is $20. I will make a reserved listing for you upon request and I will list it in my shop. Once the listing is up, you will then be responsible for payment before anything is created.

I can often make changes to a current listing, such as colors, fonts, etc. which does not necessarily require a custom listing. Just ask! A custom listing is only necessary when a major redesign or all new design is created. Contact me and we can discuss your options. :)

Once I have received payment along with your picture and card details, I will send a proof to the email associated with your etsy account. If you prefer it sent to a different email, please let me know. Please check shop notes for current turnaround time.

Once you receive your proof, please carefully look over the design for errors and or any changes you may want. The price includes up to 3 revisions. Please note, one revision may have more than one change. For example, you may want to change text AND a picture and that only counts as one revision. Once I resend the design with the requested changes, that will count as a revision and you have 2 more revisions left. After that, there will be a $5 charge for each additional revision.

If multiple versions of an invite are shown in a listing, only one version is included with purchase. Please identify which version you would like. If one isn't selected, the main sample will be sent. If you would like to see what two different invites look like, an additional charge will apply for the additional design time required.

Please note, I will provide you with ONLY ONE SIZE -- a 4x6, a 5x7, or custom sized .jpg file. Please make sure to let me know which size you need at the time of purchase in notes to seller. If this information is not included with your order, the default size is 5x7. There is a $5 resizing fee. If you request a 5x7 file and change your mind at any point during or after the design process, I do need to charge a fee. It does take time to resize your design for you. I will email you an invoice and once that is paid, I will resize your file.

No shipping costs! All designs are EMAILED directly to you. No physical product is shipped. You are responsible for printing.

Digital proofs will be emailed to you once I receive payment, picture and your information. Please see Shop Notes for current turnaround time. Your final design 300 dpi jpg file will be emailed to you to print. I will use your email associated with your etsy account. If you prefer your design sent to another email address, please let me know.
Refunds and Exchanges
Due to the nature of downloadable files, there are no refunds or exchanges once I have begun work on your design. If you change your mind on your purchase and request a refund within 30 minutes of purchase, I will issue you a full refund. Otherwise, I cannot offer refunds. However, I will work with you until you are completely happy with your design. :)
Additional policies and FAQs
I currently do not offer printing services. You are responsible for printing. However, there are many printing options available to you. If you want to have them on cardstock (80 lb cardstock or higher is best), office supply stores like Staples or Kinkos can print them for you. Or there are online sites such as Shutterfly where you just upload the invite and have them shipped to you. There are also photo centers like Costco or Walmart that offer very economical choices. When using such centers, I recommend printing on matte photo paper.

Some printing sites have different size prints. PLEASE give me the exact size specs when you place your order. I am not responsible for where you choose to print and their spec sizes for printing. Make sure to tell your printer of choice the size of your file (5x7, 4x6, etc.), and ask them to "Print to Bleed" or "Cut to Bleed". This is VERY important if you want your announcement or invitation to be centered and borderless.

Please be aware that colors vary based on your computer monitor and your photo processor, so printing a sample is strongly encouraged! If you choose to change colors, you are responsible for print quality in those colors.

Your photos should be 300 dpi or higher for proper print quality. I cannot be held responsible for photos of poor quality or low resolution. Please do not crop or edit photos prior to emailing them because that can alter the aspect ratio and quality of the overall picture.

If the photo you are emailing me was taken by a professional photographer, please ensure that you have full permission in the form of a copyright license from the photographer. You also agree to take full responsibility for any misuse of copyrighted images and agree to not hold me liable for any misuse of copyrighted images.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use a photo from my phone?

Many phones these days take high resolution photos and will often work for cards and invitations. However, to be absolutely sure, you can email your file to or through an etsy convo and I can let you know if the resolution is good enough.

How soon will I receive my file?

My turnaround time is listed as 24-48 hours. However, most files get sent out well within 24 hours as long as I have all your information and photo.

Do you sell matching items?

Yes! I have created matching cupcake toppers, thank you tags, birthday banners, signs, food label tents and more. Just ask and I can send you more information with pricing.
