Great earrings! Nice matte material and pretty raspberry color. They're quite a bit bigger than I expected, but that's my fault for not looking at the dimensions more closely! They shipped quickly and the only thing I think would've been better is if they had maybe been put in a small box rather than a bubble mailer. They arrived with the backs poking through the mailer and bent. I bent them back into shape, but wouldn't been nice to have more protection.

Handcrafted Jewelry for Modern Women

I launched Design Theory in 2009, during a time when I desperately needed a creative outlet, and wasn’t finding jewelry that spoke to me, or represented my aesthetic. A strong believer in DIY, I got to work teaching myself how to make pieces that I was proud to wear, and brought me joy.

Polymer clay has long been one of my favorite mediums - it’s lightweight, the color-mixing possibilities are endless, and it can be shaped and formed in myriad ways. I love material mash-ups, so many of my polymer clay designs feature vintage beads and brass components, gold leaf, leather, and other materials and objects that I find interesting.

My love of art, architecture, film, music, and great design- in all forms - informs my work. I design pieces that give material form to the ideas and passions that drive me as a woman, and a maker.
