Where it all began
Started in September of 2010, Design With Wings began designing invitations on a little kitchen table back in a tiny town in Ohio!
I have loved art all of my life and knew from childhood that I was born to create. In high school, I knew that I wanted to be a graphic designer and pursued a degree in Visual Communications Design at Kent State University in 2005. After a long time coming, I finally graduated in May 2010 and landed a job with a developing company. Ever since then, life has just been falling into place.
I knew I wanted to pursue freelancing after graduation, and finally pushed myself to get going. With the event of school bills coming in soon, a fire was lit under me to get started. Remembering how much fun I had designing wedding programs several years ago, I knew that weddings would be the direction to head. Even though my site still offers custom design work of any kind, I decided to take my original business plan of strictly wedding materials into more fun and creative items like hand-illustrated greeting cards, letterpress stationery, and other pretty paper products. I completely revamped my shop, in hopes of attracting a different kind of clientele while still being able to do what I love. And so, Design With Wings was born!
