My Story
Hi, I'm Sacha, sole creator, artist, and owner of Designs by Sacha, my tiny craft business. Here's a bit about my story and inspiration:
In 2019, I found photos of “mandala” or “dot art” ornaments. I immediately wanted to design and create my own. When I first saw mandala and dot art, I noticed most of them look very similar because many artists use dot tools and templates. The dotting tools allow you to have a perfect circle every time, but I prefer to use paint pens and rely on my drawing skills. It gives me more freedom and, since I don't redo my designs, each item from my shop is a one-of-a-kind piece of art. This might seem tedious. And it is! But that's what I love about it. I'm on the autism spectrum and repetitive, detail-oriented tasks are very fun and relaxing to me.
Since 2019, I’ve been painting ornaments and have expanded to mugs and wine glasses. I hope to do even more products soon (some are already in the works). Last holiday season, I only sold on Facebook and a majority of my customers were friends and family. All my inventory sold out within 2 weeks! Now, I'm expanding to Etsy and various social media platforms in the hopes of saving more funds for my college education.
