A Chance for Change ... Organization: It's in the Handmade Details!
When I was very young and just learning to write, I was given a 5-subject lined notebook. As I stared at the blank pages, it was whispered in my ear that I could even draw in it. Oh that just made it extra special and one of the best presents I ever received.
After I stopped filling the pages with schedules and watercolor designs, the pages were ripped out and made into dollhouse furniture and origami boxes. Then, I began a new venture in sewing paper together. Yes, I know but my mom said I could and she, also told me that was how others learned to sew. Oh, the possibilities of paper and fabric. Anyway.......
For a while, I combined my love of drawing and sewing into stuffed animals. Making them not only for children but for all people. This was my way of helping others remember those special, furry members of their family.
So when I think about my notebook and all the arts, crafts, and organizing ideas I still enjoy putting in it, I decided I wanted a new beginning and that’s why Detalyah Designs was created. Detalyah Designs is a chance for change, a way to continue lost arts of my past, and a way to combine these arts with different elements into useful items for everyday life.
Today, creations begin in a simple little notebook containing ideas to help organize and create beautiful spaces for others. Thanks for stopping by!
