Story of Dexterously Made
My name is Ashley and I am the owner and creator of Dexterously Made. I had a job once where I would see some people playing with yarn and a hook and always wondered what they were doing. Turns out it was crochet! So I went and purchased some yarn and a few hooks then looked to YouTube to teach me how to crochet! 4 years later my hobby has now turned into a small side business. I love making items for others to enjoy and one day someone mentioned that I should be selling my stuff on Etsy. So it took me awhile to get up enough guts to get this shop going, but I finally did and couldn't be happier!!! Dexterously Made officially opened October 2017, it was in limbo for almost a year until I finally listed items!
The name Dexterously Made came from my cat Dexter. I was playing around with names one day and thought that maybe I could incorporate his name somehow and one night at work the word "Dexterously" came to mind and then just added "made" to the end and bam there is the business name!!
I work full time as a medical helicopter dispatcher which I love!! I also love the art of crochet and knitting!! I am a one person shop, so everything here is made by me and only me!! Sometimes my orders can become back logged (well when ETSY decides to feature me and not warn me about it!!! hahahaha) but I will always keep everyone up to date on what is going on and the status of their order.
