The artistic outburst of an engineer !
Hello, I am Natassa.
I am a structural engineer based in Athens. Ever since my studies, I felt that I needed something more to fulfill my personaity, my profession seemed a bit artless.It was while my master , when I didn't have the time for a regular job that I started crafting jewelry.
I liked alternative materials from the start, and I was happy to see that my original creations were appreciated by my friends and the shops I worked with.
I had a vast collection of hand fans, so it was a matter of time to start making my own. I picked the one that came the most handy, the most effective one and starting trying to copy it. It took numerous tries to get to the desirable level, but people loved them all the way through.
The master is over now, and I am back to working full time in building restorations, but I came to love crafting so much, I kept going. My brother, a 21 year-old Asperger child, helps me create the hand fan sticks, since it is the most time consuming part of the project. So by buyng my little art, you are also helping my brother make a living, appart from bringing a bit of magic to your life!
