Hey there! I'm Dimitra, I come from Athens, Greece and I’ll tell you my little story.
I love to design, to create and work with my hands, and my little business gives me the chance to do just that. I started to decorate leather sandals since 2015 when I visited a lab in downtown Athens which creates handmade Greek leather sandals. I simply fell in love! I chose these sandals because of their quality, comfort, and perfect fit and I was making them just for fun and for my friends. Then a sudden idea came to me… Why not sell them? And that was when I discovered Etsy and the world of creations!
When I started getting requests, my boyfriend joined me in this adventure. We moved all the stuff in an empty apartment in which once lived my grandmother and that’s how Dimitra’s Workshop got started! We worked really really hard till one day we decided to leave our jobs and design sandals for a living! We are so happy we are working on something that we are passionate about. We really love to create all these stuff. That gives us joy and calmness.
Our inpiration comes from places, people and cultures from all over the world so we can mix together two of our big loves: creating and travelling.
We love what we do and we want to thank our friends and customers for helping us evolve my grandmother’s old small apartment in a living creative workshop.
Our dream came true since our hobby became a full time job for both of us!
