My name is Theresa. I am a mother in a crazy but lovable place called home. So why the Etsy shop name Distant Owl Designs? Well, I live in the country outside of Monroe, North Carolina with my husband and 2 children. We fell in love with an owl that we would occasionally catch a glimpse of while walking in the woods. We didn't see him or her often, but we heard him or her quite often. There are many times we are awoken by a soft hoot. I feel as if I am being cheered on and starting my day with a distant friend sending me a word of encouragement. So, Distant Owl Designs was born! Every item is handmade with thoughts of friendship and encouragement no matter from how far away.
