Happy accidents lead to great things!
I happened to discover (kind of by accident) how extremely easily kids can memorize a text just by reading and copying. We were doing a spelling curriculum (Spelling U See) where my 7 year old was doing copywork of the same 70-ish-word-paragraph 5 days in a row. After day THREE she usually had it completely memorized. I was blown away.
Very quickly the lightbulb went on that we MUST use this method with scripture. I searched high and low for a copywork generator that had all the tools I wanted, with the ease to use them, and there was nothing. BUT! God gave me a husband who just happened to be a brilliant programmer!
So asked David to write a software for me. From scratch. What a huge gift!
One thing led to another and this web application he wrote me was just too awesome to keep to myself. So our little company, DittoSheets, was born.
Ok now bigger picture... I believe in a tech-heavy world, fewer and fewer people (myself included) actually know their bible backwards and forwards. We just Google it when we want to find something out. And as our world is more and more hostile to the truth, hiding His Word in our hearts, thoroughly and precisely, becomes extremely important.
So I would hope that the Lord gets tons of glory as children, teens, and adults use our little DittoSheets company to cram as much of God's very own words into their brains as possible. Nothing would delight David and I more!
