So, the name "Dona" from Dona Stitch actually comes from my two adorable cats. Their names are Dodo and Nana. When you really care about someone or something, you find a way to express that love. I’m super fond of my family—those two furballs—and I also have a passion for designing, which is how Dona Stitch was born for my Etsy shop.
My journey isn’t your typical business tale. It’s a bit on the dull side, revolving around a girl with dreams of becoming a designer. Being a professional designer means constantly learning and keeping an open mind. I’ve always had a passion for drawing, especially doodling. But honestly, just drawing isn’t enough for me. So, I started looking for ways to turn my doodles into something more significant.
I’m all about using a ton of colors in my creations. I became obsessed with all the different floss colors and realized that making cross-stitch patterns was the perfect way for me to experiment with colors while also selling my design ideas. I picked up some software like PCstitch and Macstitch. It’s a bit tricky, but luckily, I’ve managed to make some sales from my patterns. I’m excited to keep creating unique and vibrant designs.
