I prefer every material that is natural, and in my designs I adopt the following philosophy: Form fallows function. As the time went on, it was said: Form and function are one.
I prefer to work with the logic of a small workshop. I produce a limited number of wood and leather products in my studio at Athens, Greece. I always seal my own signature to every design I produce.
I use traditional methods of leather workmanship. I’m combining my own original designs with alternative materials. My life, experiences and instincts inspire my designs. What I read, watch, see and lived all affects my works. On one hand the culture of the world, on the other hand the land I live in. The traces of the geography I live in affect me.
How do I design?

For example, an idea comes to mind when I go to the flea market in Monastraki, Athens, or when I visit a house of magnificence. The moment I compare with a material, for example a skate or an old coat button, and the quality of the beautiful qualities I encounter when I go to each leather shop, makes me make different decisions. Sometimes the leather that I meet is able to impose his own design on me. The materials will guide us. Fortunately they are natural.
Here everything is natural as its people. Therefore I always produce my designs with traditional methods. Even the furnish I produce, wax is all natural. I want the brand name dodo handmade is to be a symbol of our positivism and simplicity while we are benefiting the contemporary world we live in. Because life is as simple as it is complicated. We all born, we live, we feel many different feelings and in the end die.
How to work?
All my desings are made by myself from cutting to sewing. I do all the implementation of my desings. From beginning to an end I work by myself.
There is all the attention to detail one should expect from the work of a tradesman.
Therefore my production is unique. Each and every leather you choose is peerless. Their distinctive form and texture is matchless as fingertrips. Each leather comes to my workbench with its own vital traces. I never touch those minor scars because each scar has its own story.

Perhaps you know: When the traditional carpet master produces the carpet by hand, he always leaves a little mistake on one of the corners as a trail of him.
This has a very meaning full reason: If the carpet is perfectly made without any mistake it may be thought that it is woven with machine.
Material selection.
When factory based materials involve in production, design lose its naturalness. The robustness and harmony go away. Shortens the life. In leather design, materials which are incompatible with each other like concrete and wood, always compete and push each other. One can never forcibly endear wood and concrete, they never touch each other, they always want some space between. Wood and leather move, inhale and lives with you. Even when you mistreat them they are always your best and loyal fellows.
Therefore I I take special care in material selection. I always choose the best. I don’t prefer the roads that everyone goes, the shops everyone enters. Every material I use is handmade, even rivets are the products of small workshops.
Is there any other correct path than natural?
I use only thick vegetable, tanned, hot stuffed Italian and Greek leather. A 100% clean and naturally processed, strong but supple leather which gets only more beautiful with time.

Each leather panel is given consideration for its best orientation.
Art is simple even when it’s telling something complex. How simple are the materials Renaissance painters, antique sculptors, contemporary musicians use. Paint, brush, hammer, note, chisel.

At the heart of all my designs there is this simplicity. Therefore, I can give lifetime warranty as long as I live. I’m sure all of my designs will live longer than all of us. There are many things inherited from my parents, from mastery, and they are being used for generations.
