Contact this shop owner for special requests. Stock Colors of sail cloth shown in New Banner. Included: Red, Royal Blue, Pink, Lime Green, Purple, Green, Light Blue, Orange, White and Yellow. Black and Grey are also available colors. Check out YouTube for NEW videos on my Four Boat and Three Boat Whirligigs as well as my new (7) boat and (5) boat designs.

PLEASE NOTE: On Whirligig Items sold that the Purchaser is responsible for adequate wind in your yard. This shop tests every item sold - But the buyer is responsible if NON-ADEQUATE wind conditions exist and items therefore cannot be returned. In addition some sail colors of fabric may fade more rapidly than others due to your climate and weather location. This shop cannot be responsible for fading of fabric. All of the sail material we use is actual 1.5 oz. Ripstop spinnaker cloth.

High quality and super durable! The sails are perfectly sewn and the material is crisp and bright. This is the second time that I've purchased this set of sails. The last set of sails lasted several years before one sail developed a small tear. That's several years of continuous use on my outdoor sailboat whirligig- 365 days of Michigan sun, rain, snow, ice, and lots & lots of wind! Those sailboats just FLEW around that post! Delivery was also amazingly fast. Thank you for such a great product.

From Sailboats to Dogs to "Dog Gone Sailboats"

I began this business back in 2009. At that time I was still trying to figure out a business name. I took a trip to Maui in the Winter of 2009 and it finally hit me what I would eventually name this shop. I had been looking out to the surrounding water and saw nothing but sailboats. What was unique about each sailboat was that each and every one of them had a "Dog" aboard. That was it "Dog Gone Sailboats". I could not wait to get back home and establish that name for my shop. I then of course started putting "Dogs" on all my boat whirly-gigs carved out of Walnut wood stock. So now you too now where the name of this business came from. I continue to build nothing but "Sailboat Related Products", continuing with the statement of Dog Gone Sailboats - They never end.
I do all of my own work including the sewing. Yes!! This business owner does it all. I take great pride in the craftsmanship of all my products. I do anything from Birthday Parties to Weddings. These boats are very unique in every aspect. I love the challenge of coming up with new products to add to my current selection. The combination of "Woodworking" and "Sewing" is a very relaxing and enjoyable business.
