The trail you walk. The trail you keep.
Dos Senderos creates custom 3D-printed trail maps from real hiking and running routes. Each piece turns GPS data into a physical object—capturing the effort, memory, and place behind the path you walked.
Dos Senderos began as a Christmas gift.
My brother had just completed his first Ironman, and I wanted to make something that honored the work behind that moment—not just the finish line, but the miles, commitment, and time it took to get there. I imagined a map of his route, something that could hold the story of the race.
That idea led me to my newly purchased 3D printer and a lot of trial and error. I spent weeks learning new tools, refining techniques, and reprinting early versions. My kids were not thrilled when their steady supply of 3D toys paused so I could focus on perfecting a single object. Eventually, the piece was finished.
When my brother opened it, his reaction said everything. “This is amazing,” he said. “You should start a business.”
Dos Senderos was born.
What surprised me most was what I saw in that object. It wasn’t just a route or a trail. It was the physical shape of effort—a sculpture that stood for a dream, a goal, and an accomplishment.
Screens are great for tracking, but they don’t last. Data gets buried, forgotten, or replaced. A physical object asks you to slow down, to remember, and to hold something real in your hands.
Dos Senderos means “two paths.” The one you walk, and the one you keep. The trail that gets you there, and the trail that remains.
Each piece begins with your movement through a place. Your hike. Your run. Your route. I don’t create the story—I translate it. I’m only the technician. The art is made by the person who walked the trail and carried the memory.
This isn’t my story. It’s yours.
