5 out of 5 starsLove the fabric and I’m super pleased with it. Made such a lovely dress. Just wish I could have bought more it if it. Had to source the rest from another supplier and were slightly different shades! But still, made it look cool!

5 out of 5 starsFabric used to sash together a quilt consisting of 49 blocks, made in a range of African wax cotton, some of which were also purchased from Dovetailed. The result was very dramatic as the fabric kept its' shape when cut and sewed, so a relatively accurate effect was possible.

Frequently asked questions
1. How are your fabrics sold?
Are fabrics are sold by the metre/half metre. A metre is approximately 100 cm (L) x 115 cm
(W).
2. Where do the fabrics come from?
Ghana, Nigeria, and Holland.
3. How is the fabric made?
Some think that the fabric has wax on it, however, it doesn’t. In fact, it is made using a wax-
resist method of printing onto cotton that is similar to batik. All the wax is removed during the
printing process and you are left with a medium-weight cotton that you can treat as you would
any other medium weight cotton.
4. What are your fabrics made from?
All our fabrics are 100% cotton.
5. What can I make with the fabric?
African wax print fabric can be used in clothes making, quilting, bag making, and upholstery.
6. Can I wash the fabric?
Yes, as with most fabrics, it is good practice to wash and 'press'
before you cut and sew. Simply
put in your machine on a cool wash. However, you may wish to skip the washing step if you are
bag-making, for example.
How do I order more than one half metre
To order more than one half a metre simply select your preference of half a metre in the “size” drop-down menu. Next, select the number of half metres you would like to purchase in the “Quantity” drop-down menu.
E.g if you would like to order 1 metre of your selected fabric select “half metre” in the “size” menu, next in the “Quantity” menu select 2.
I have got some sticky labels on my fabric, how do I remove them?
Please see my Instagram video here in which I demonstrate how to remove the labels.
