Create Beauty Every Day
I began my shop officially in 2007, when I sold my first drawing. That moment, of selling my first piece, changed my world forever. My medium--drawing--has always been my first creative love. My other creative passions include dancing, writing, and creativity coaching.
My Etsy shop, opened in April of 2013, at a turning point where I decided to step into my purpose to create beautiful, one of kind items for every day life.
The materials I use have shifted over time: first paper, then scrap wood from my friends wood shop, and now reclaimed ceramics.
This shop is a place where I sell what I have taken time to hand paint and hand illustrate.
I desire to change how people interact with their every day items. I want to bring more beauty, personal touches, and empowered visions into each morsel of the day.
I believe we are in this life to experience beauty.
Each day, I wake up and do my morning routine--meditate, eat breakfast, and then journal or read. After that, I set the timer and create freely & draw for about an hour. Some days I only draw for 15 minutes. But the act of doing gets me motivated, inspired, and ready for the rest of my day which sometimes goes like this: emails, marketing, blogging, more drawing, cooking for my family, and dreaming big.
At this moment, my focus for 2014 is painting vibrant, ornamental & comforting teapots.
I love to collaborate and create custom one of a kind teapots for my clients. I am eager to share what I give. I hope you owning a piece of mind will inspire your own sense of beauty in your abundant life.
