My grandmother taught me to knit when I was 10 years old. I started with a bright red scarf that barely wrapped around my neck and had several holes from dropped stitches. The sad state of my first scarf didn't bother me one bit, I was in love. I knitted on and off for the next few years, and when I was 17 I picked up my first crochet hook and taught myself from a book. I honed my craft, making everything from potholders to hats, fingerless gloves to afghans.
I made my first Amigurumi, or crocheted stuffed animal, in 2013 and by the summer of 2015, Drewbie's Zoo was born! Since then I have made hundreds of amigurumi, published several patterns, and even taught in-person crochet classes. I couldn't be happier sharing my love of crochet and cute animals with the world!
