5 out of 5 starsI love hairbrushes and have a fairly extensive collection (not to mention all those that didn't make the cut). This one went straight to the top of the heap. This is one of the heavier brushes that DS has made, and it delivers more thud than you'd expect from a hairbrush. It is very sturdy and should survive several lifetimes of intense play. I know it's spendy, but you get what you pay for with this one.

JF- Thank you for your kind comments! The brushes are labor intensive and as well as a labor of love! The bocote used to make this brush is particularly beautiful and as you say, a bit more dense than some of the other woods I use. I'm happy you are pleased with your purchase! Take care - David

5 out of 5 starsThis one is intense! It's similar to the Jokari paddle, but it's longer giving better leverage. It stings more than a Jokari, which I would consider balanced in sting & thud. This one STINGS! Great construction and service from D& S per usual. Highly recommend this one if you need to burn a naughty bottom up good!
