Hi I'm Emily, welcome to E.B. Orchids!
Full-time, I work as a scientist in the immunochemistry field. I've always had a knack for figuring out how things work and problem solving. Alongside this, I've also always held a big, sweet spot in my heart for animals and plants - nature has a way of bringing me peace like nothing else, it connects me to deeper things.
7 years ago I discovered my passion for growing orchids and have been a hobby grower since, amassing a large collection over the last few years - I'm especially a big a fan of the weird, odd-ball plants, especially bulbophyllum.
Now, I also run a small-scale orchid nursery - E.B. Orchids. Through this labor of love, I strive to make unique orchids accessible and provide a helpful and enjoyable experience to other hobby growers. I'm excited to learn and create, and also to delve into a new chapter of my life running a small business!

I offer a variety of orchids and tropical plants including rare species, hybrids, and staple collector plants that are most suitable for the hobby grower.
I'm also a member of the Genesee Region Orchid Society in Rochester, NY where I participate in shows and events, talks, and community engagements. I will also be vending at a few shows in 2026, catch me at:

Each plant was individually wrapped up in a cute little pot with perfectly watered media secured with cotton batting. The plant was protected with newspaper shredding and wrapped in paper and taped up. Expertly packed! The plants themselves arrived in perfect condition and are beautiful specimens.
