About

Reusable Green purchases you can feel GREAT about!

In 1990, after my university years and travel abroad, I returned to Palm Beach County, Florida and founded my Lake Worth pottery studio and gallery, EarthArtists Clay Studio. Throughout the nineties my career included creating functional and sculptural pottery for Exhibition, Art shows and instruction. Through the Center for Creative Education (CCE) in West Palm Beach Florida, I became a certified teaching artist in curriculum based “Arts Integration” Programming, which I continue today. In the following decade my focus expanded to public art projects which include site specific architectural and sculpted tile murals. I continue to work from my home-studio, collaborating on public art projects, creating architectural and functional commissions, offering ceramic restoration/repair and instruction.

I find myself drawn to diverse projects that afford me an opportunity of creative learning. I continue to grow as an artist and human as I research concepts and ideas to be translated into clay and will, in the end, celebrate our humanness.

If you have any questions about a piece, I am happy to answer them. Please call me at 561-585-1411 EST.

All my pottery is hand made from start to finish. I form the raw clay on the potters wheel or by hand and then add or take away clay, depending on the design of the piece. Once it is dry, I fire it in my pottery kiln to 2000+ degrees F (the temperature of lava). Next I paint on the glazes and then refire. The glaze colors i choose are influenced by the natural beauty around me. I love the blue-greens of the tropical Atlantic Ocean surrounding me here in Florida . I love the colors of the natural stones that i find while hiking in streams up in the mountains. I love the textured and layered colors of my dogs' coats.

When i am creating a new piece, I focus on form, function and fun! I want you to enjoy looking at the piece as much as using it! I love to receive feedback, please let me know how using my pottery works for you!

Use and care of my pottery:
All of my pottery, unless otherwise noted with the "NOT FOR FOOD" designation, is made with 100% non-toxic and food safe materials. All of my kitchen and food ware may be used in the microwave, dishwasher and oven. ALL pieces of my pottery can be used either indoor or outdoor. I use detachable Electric cords on my lamps, so they may be used outdoors with candles or tea lights. Electric cords and Nightlight bases are for indoor use only.
