Wearable Items of Clay and Fiber

Finding My Passion

Unable to find the natural and unique look I wanted in jewelry, I began to create my own clay beads at the local pottery studio where I am a member. I have continued to make beads, buttons and pendants from clay and have developed a passion for fashioning a product with a natural and earthy feel.

The buttons, beads and pendants I make are hand formed, high fired, glazed and fired again. The back of the pottery is often left natural, marked with my initials. I use different types of clay in my pieces, including porcelain and various darker clays.

I have been knitting a crocheting for a long time and was happy to be able to incorporate my pottery pieces into the scarves and accessories I create.
